The name may well be English but the concept works equally well in Småland, where you will sometimes see the Swedish words ‘Rum & Frukost’ on signs. The room may be in the main building, in the host’s own house or it may be a cottage on a farm. In all cases you will be treated to a magnificent breakfast, perhaps with freshly baked bread. Bed linen and towels are included in the price, just as in any hotel. B&Bs offer simple and comfortable accommodation with a welcoming, home-from-home atmosphere, and your host will be only too pleased to advise you on things to see and do nearby – it's their home ground, after all.
