Adventure for kids
Heights, speed and wind are all part of the activities here. Be a cowboy for the day, climb among the treetops and set off on an exciting adventure. If you want to be active, there are lots of adventures to enjoy!

Isaberg Rodel & Tree Top Adventure
Isaberg Mountain Resort is a leisure facility with a wide range of activities, including rodel, hiking, canoes and kayaks, golf, fishing, an obstacle course, cycling, a zip line and playgrounds. In the summer, a guide can take the children on treasure hunts. There is an adapted course for young children.

Little Rock Zipline
At Little Rock Lake in Klavreström, the whole family can find their thrills on Europe’s longest zipline course. ‘Zipping’ means whizzing between the trees and towers as you dangle in a harness attached to a strong wire. The courses range in difficulty, from family-friendly green courses to more adrenaline-inducing ziplines that let you reach speeds of up to 75km/h! Kids (aged 5+) under 35kg can zip in tandem with a guide, while all others are welcome to zip alone. There’s something for everyone in the heart of Småland’s forest! Are you up for it?

Hasselö
Hasselö is a living idyll in Tjust Archipelago outside Västervik, with many activities and destinations to discover. Ride on a tractor and trailer, go on a cycle tour along the nice roads, hire a canoe or pedalo, play mini golf or fish. Families that like nature will definitely find something to do on Hasselö! To get to the island, take an archipelago boat from Västervik or Gränsö Canal.

Hagårds Lagård
Here adventures await on the ground and eight metres up in the air. A high ropes course stretches above the ground for those who like heights. For those who prefer to be on the ground, there is paintball, multidisciplinary events and shooting. The facility also has an adventure park with zip lines.

Getnö Lake Åsnen Resort
Getnö Lake Åsnen Resort is a private nature conservation area with its own group of islands in Lake Åsnen. In the summer, there is a nature school for the very youngest. Children can take part in activities such as fishing, forest excursions, Viking adventures, competitions and riding tours on Icelandic horses. There are many nature skills that can prove useful their whole lives!

Guldströms gold-washing
Gold has been mined in Ädelfors for 280 years, and today you can wash for gold while listening to birdsong and the murmuring water at Guldströms. The place is calm and peaceful and, according to archaeologists, the stream is full of gold that can be extracted.

High Chaparral
Experience the Wild West in the heart of Småland! Riding cowboys, Indians, stuntmen and fortune hunters put on performances, and young and older children can live their adventure dreams galloping across the prairie, washing for gold or watching how the cowboys swing their lassos. High Chaparral offers lots of sights and rides to suit everyone.

Kleva Mine
Kleva Mine offers varied activities to suit the whole family. There are organised treasure hunts, gold-washing, climbing, picnics and barbecues, and hikes in nature. You can also walk in the mines, with their unique environment with pitch darkness, light inlets, passages and a lake.

The waterpark at Västervik Resort
Don’t miss an adventure at the water park! Whizz down the waterslides, bob up and down in the wave currents, enjoy the hot springs and have fun in the lovely pool environment. There is a children’s pool for the very youngest. At Västervik Resort the Mediterranean flows straight into the Baltic Sea!

Boda Borg
Test your adventure skills in some 50 rooms with challenges to solve. Form a team and choose from three levels of difficulty. Each room has a unique challenge and the team has two minutes to solve it. If you do, you get a green light and can continue to the next challenge.

Vimmerby Adventure
10 km north of Vimmerby, you’ll find Vimmerby Adventure – a family-friendly adventure park set amongst the tree tops. Challenge your body and mind on the climbing courses, ziplines and free fall. The 8 different routes have over 80 obstacles. There’s also a black course set 18m above the ground and a 250m-long high-altitude course with dizzyingly narrow walkways, ropes, nets, and ziplines. For those afraid of heights, there are courses closer to the ground.

Bike Tours Through Astrid Lindgren's Film Landscape
Cycling excursion that takes you though some of Småland’s most famous filming locations. The route starts at the attraction Filmbyn (the Film Village in English), near Mariannelund and takes you through Katthult and Bullerbyn (Noisy Village). You’ll pass places featured in the film Emil of Lönneberga, and other worthwhile sights – depending on which route you take. The distance ranges from 12 to 70 km. All-day bike rentals are available.
