Västanå Castle strives to provide its guests with a memorable stay, personal service, beautiful interiors, lovely nature, and well-prepared food!

Västanå Castle has been in the same family for several centuries. The current manager, Fredrik von Otter, is the ninth in the line of ownership. Västanå Castle has been operating as a hotel since 1948. Many of the interiors have remained more or less untouched since Fredrik’s grandparents moved from the castle at the outbreak of World War II in 1939.

Most of Västanå’s guests visit the castle again and again. You are also welcome to become a regular guest at Västanå!

November🍂☂️
Get out your rubber boots, enjoy a special Swedish “Cheesecake Day,” and start the Christmas season early with festive food, Christmas markets, and the first Sunday of Advent — the traditional beginning of Christmas celebrations in Sweden.

In November, the weather in Småland and on Öland gets colder, with daytime temperatures around 2–7 °C and nights often below zero. Rain and wind are common. The bright autumn colors slowly fade during the month, and by the end of November, the forests and fields look more grey and brown as winter comes closer.
