The bronze statue of Astrid Lindgren was unveiled on June 1, 2007, 100 years after Astrid Lindgren was born at the N\u00e4s farm in Vimmerby. The statue was created by artist Marie-Louise Ekman, in collaboration with Hanna Beling and Heinz M\u00fcllner, along with students from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm.
