In Norra Kvill, the forest is allowed to be messy. 🌲

Fallen trunks remain where they land, moss spreads across enormous boulders and pine trees that were already old centuries ago continue to tower above the trail.

Norra Kvill National Park has not been logged for more than 150 years, making it one of the rare places in southern Sweden where the forest has been able to develop largely on its own. Some of the pines are over 350 years old.

July is a wonderful time to experience summer in Småland and on Öland, with warm, bright days, blooming roses, local flavours, family activities, and memorable events. Visit Crown Princess Victoria’s Birthday at Solliden Palace, discover festivals and summer traditions, paddle on peaceful lakes or visit a moose park. Traditional Småland cheesecake and long sunny days by the water complete the summer feeling.

In July, the weather in Småland and on Öland is generally warm and pleasant. Daytime temperatures usually range between 18 and 25 °C. July is one of the sunniest months of the year in the region, with long daylight hours.
