Kalmar Slott

Kalmar Castle has a long and exciting history. It was, for example, here that the Kalmar Union was signed in 1397 and during the 16th century the castle was modernized by the Vasak kings. Although most things still look the same as they did in 1592, there are always new things to discover. You can see interesting exhibitions, join guided tours and participate in events. Kalmar Castle is open all year round, but the opening hours vary throughout the year.
