We may collect various types of personal data about you as a business owner when you visit our web pages, consult with our advisors, subscribe to our newsletter, participate in our events or seminars, respond to surveys, or have other interactions with us. Conducting and managing your participation in courses, seminars, and events. Processing is carried out based on our legitimate interest in administering and following up on our courses, seminars, and events, as well as providing information that you need to know before and after your participation.

We may share business data with, for example, collaborating organizations such as the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket). We may also share your data with exhibitors at our events, speakers, or with companies that assist us in various consultancy assignments. In general, we store your information for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the information was collected. The data may also be stored for the time required by applicable law. In other cases, we will regularly review our personal data management. Smålands Turism AB, AB Destination Småland, and Region Kalmar County are subject to the principle of public access to official records. This means that certain documents constitute so-called public documents that Smålands Turism AB, AB Destination Småland, and Region Kalmar County are required to disclose upon request. Before disclosure, a confidentiality assessment is carried out in accordance with the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act.

In order to technically process your personal data, they will be transferred to the IT vendors providing our platforms. In these cases, we have placed requirements on the vendor to ensure that they handle the data in a good and secure manner.

Smålands Turism AB, AB Destination Småland, and Region Kalmar County are not responsible for the external actors’ own processing of personal data. However, we have the opportunity to set requirements for how these organizations should conduct their operations when they do so on behalf of Smålands Turism AB, AB Destination Småland, and/or Region Kalmar County. External actors may include (for example) the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket).

If you believe that we have handled your personal data incorrectly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Data Protection Authority (Datainspektionen), which is the supervisory authority for personal data processing.
