It is the largest of its kind south of Lapland and consists of untouched marshland spanning 7,740 hectares, an area equivalent to 10,840 football fields. The nature at Store Mosse resembles that of the northern regions, characterized by a great diversity of both animals and plants, with everything from lakes and bogs to cranes, moose, and eagles.
