Flea Market
Flea markets are a treasure trove for those who love to find bargains and unique things with history. Småland has plenty of flea markets, both large and small, where you can browse through everything from antiques and vintage clothing to furniture, books and other personal items. Visiting a flea market is not only a way to make environmentally friendly choices, but also a chance to discover something unusual and nostalgic, while supporting local vendors.
Are you looking for bargains at flea markets?
Then you should visit “Loppisvägen” between Alvesta and Ör in central Småland. Here you will find around 10 flea markets along the road over a distance of 20 km!
The journey begins in small Ör with Uddabutiken which has a nice vintage section. Next door is Systrarna Skogströms Lantcafé with a scent of the 19th century. Then follow the road towards Moheda. Just outside you will find Östregård Antikt och Loppmarknad Moheda – one of the largest flea markets in southern Sweden. Inside Moheda you must not miss Olofs Handelsbod which is well-stocked in a beautiful barn. Sometimes you can buy a sausage or hamburger.
Continue on the road towards Lekaryd where you will also find Lekaryds Lantcafe which also has a small flea market – Lilla loppan. Keep an eye out for flea market signs along the road. When you get to Alvesta there are flea markets and the wonderful Café St.Clair which combines Swedish and Japanese in a lovely atmosphere. Have a nice trip!

Busfrö is a Swedish second-hand chain that was founded in Västervik in 2010 by Stina Qubti. The concept began as a store that catered to parents of young children who wanted to buy and sell used children’s items. The store quickly became popular, and demand for more stores and an expanded range led Busfrö to develop a franchise model. This made it possible for entrepreneurs to open their own Busfrö stores, and today Busfrö is Sweden’s largest commercial second-hand chain. In Småland, Busfrö is located in Västervik, Oskarshamn, Kalmar, Växjö and Jönköping.
