The forest in the middle of town
Bondberget is a wooded hill nature reserve and outdoor ground close to the town, located between Jönköping and Huskvarna, with large deciduous woodland. The footpath Södra Vätterleden passes through here, among others. The reserve is located centrally with many paths in hiking terrain, several exercise paths, and great views, so it is used extensively for day-outs.
Bondberget is the wooded hill separating Jönköping and Huskvarna and is a highly valued and frequently visited outdoor area both summer and winter. There are many trails and exercise paths in hiking terrain, resting areas, windbreaks, and fireplaces. In the winter, there are several cross-country skiing trails. The reserve is a perfect location for a warm picnic or an exhausting exercise. From several perspectives, there is a nice view over Lake Vättern. Perhaps one of the most beautiful spots on Bondberget is an Iron Age cemetery with a nice view to the west.
