Eksjö museum

Eksjö Museum is the big little museum in the heart of the Old Town of the unique wooden city of Eksjö. The museum courtyard is an oasis by the Eksjö River with its herb garden and is also a venue for music and theater. In the art galleries, contemporary art and other exhibitions on current topics are displayed. There are also three permanent exhibitions. Here you can see Albert Engström’s drawings and paintings. The city history exhibition lets you explore the town’s 600-year history. Småland’s Military History Museum presents another part of Eksjö’s past. In the museum shop, you’ll find handicrafts, souvenirs, postcards, books, and unique gifts. The museum courtyard is a meeting place for events in music, art, crafts, and much more. Eksjö Museum also offers guided tours of Aschanska gården and city walks in the Old Town with knowledgeable guides.
