Filmbyn Småland

Småland Film Village – here you step into the world of film in a magical exhibition, created in the spirit of Astrid Lindgren. In Filmbyn Småland you get to experience scenes from classic children’s films such as Emil in Lönneberga, Alla we barn i Bullerbyn and Pippi Longstocking. Watch classic film clips, original props from the films, sing along to film scores and try creating your own film. At Filmbyn Småland, you can also enjoy a meal or a coffee at the meatball restaurant SKOGEN, which prepares food from scratch using ingredients from the local area and nearby suppliers. In Filmbyn’s shop, you’ll find souvenirs related to Astrid Lindgren’s children’s films. Here you can find everything from T-shirts to mugs and coasters featuring your favourite characters from Astrid Lindgren’s stories, as well as plush toys from the tales. We also sell lovely trays and postcards by our local artist, Nathalie Fjäll, featuring illustrations from Katthult, Bullerbyn and our own Mariannelund. Outside Filmbyn Småland you’ll find Upplevelseskogen, a place for play, imagination and adventure. The forest offers art, a parkour course, a playground for small children, obstacle courses and outdoor film sets. Always open and free for everyone!
