The site features buildings from various time periods in a charming setting. Start your adventure by climbing the 243 steps from Södra Parken in Gränna to reach Grännaberget. The views along the stairs are incredible, but you can also access the area by car or bicycle. History of the Open-Air Museum Established in 1912, the museum is Gränna’s first cultural heritage site. Initially, it served as a city park for the residents of Gränna, but from 1916, additional buildings were relocated to the site. Inspired by Skansen in Stockholm, the idea was to preserve endangered structures by moving them here.
