Take a walk in a Småland fantasy forest near Tenhult. A perfect walk for those who don’t want to go far.
There are 2 paths here going through Ingaryd, which is located north of Tenhult. The paths are 2.1 and 2.5 km long. Ingaryd is a nature reserve, and the area has excellent biodiversity and good bird life. The swamp forest areas, a brook, boulders, and mini-cliffs contribute to the varied vegetation within the old coniferous wood. A large percentage of the forest is over 100 years old.
Along one of the trails, you will also notice four wooden sculptures created by the fishing wood sculptor Jarmo Keerele. The wooden sculptures remind one of the severe storms Gudrun and Per, which destroyed much of Ingaryd’s forest.
