Kronobergs slottsruin

Permanently closed to visitors since year 2022/2023. What is today a ruin was once a castle on Sweden’s then southern border that would protect against the arch-enemy Denmark. Walk in the footsteps of the insurgent Nils Dacke, enter the rooms that Gustav Vasa’s sons once lived in and enjoy the beautiful nature that surrounds this historic castle ruin. At Kronoberg, the screen exhibition In the shadow of Vasa is shown, which deals with the Dacke feud and what was to come the largest peasant uprising in Nordic history.
