Food and drink Cafe Holsbybrunn

Levanders is a museum, gift shop and small café. A real cultural treasure from the 1890s. The store's grain-painted interior is completely original and very well preserved. You can browse among freshly made old-style treats such as juice, drinks, tea, spices and candy. You can also sit outside in the beautiful garden or inside on a comfortable sofa with a cup of coffee.

When you step over the threshold of the shop, the doorbell rings and you travel back in time over 100 years. The shelves are filled with beautiful tin cans for caramels, biscuits and coffee. Corsets, galoshes, tobacco boxes, polishes, spice jars and sugar cubes are lined up next to cardboard boxes with buttons, sewing thread and cufflinks. Wooden clogs and milk jugs hang from the ceiling. The many boxes still carry scents from the past. For the connoisseur, there are marmalades with strawberry, fig, orange, plum or lemon flavours. And you won’t want to miss the delicious tomato pesto! Here you will also find soaps, country-style interior design details, paper goods, postcards, bookmarks and dollhouse miniatures. Levanders café serves coffee and homemade cakes such as kladdkaka, apple cake and lingonberry jam caves. Customers’ favourite is Farmor Viola’s pretzels, crispy and delicious, made according to an old Småland and secret family recipe! In the summer you can sit outside in the garden. If you choose to sit inside you can sit on Erik Levander’s old sofa, listen to the ticking of the wall clock and read a weekly newspaper from the 1940s.
