Nydala klosterkyrka

Nydala monastery was founded in 1143, and is one of the first Cistercian monasteries in the Nordics. French Cistercian monks lived and worked here for 400 years. Today, parts of the monastery church, the gate chapel and ruins from earlier buildings remain. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the historic monastery garden, laid out according to the medieval model. Audio guides are available in the church. Guided tours are arranged in summer.
