The Cultural Reserve of Åsen Village

At Åsen’s Village, you can travel back to the year 1900 to see what life in the countryside in Småland could look like at that time. Here, you can wander around on your own, stay overnight, or participate in various activities to experience horse-powered farming, traditional farm work, and household chores. The food on the table is determined, just as it was before, by the season and the availability of locally grown ingredients. In the old, cultivated landscape, animals of Swedish heritage breeds graze during the summer months.
