Enjoy breathtaking scenery of Lake Vättern and Visingsö from a magnificent oak wood just to the north of Gränna. The nature reserve Vretaholm oak landscape lies resplendently at the foot of the Vättern cliffs. It’s an excitement in itself to pass by the old, giant oaks that once stood in open fields and have grown old and gigantic. If you would like to get a closer look, you can drive up and park your car and hike through the broadleaf forest, which consists of oaks with aspen, birch, alder, elm, ash, and maple. The nature reserve is above the old national road and consists of pastureland with oak trees and beautiful deciduous forest areas.
