Glasriket is the magical, beautiful, and distinctive area in the forests between Växjö and Kalmar. Over a million people visit here every year to experience the fascinating production process at the furnaces, and not least, to buy glass. Glass has been made here since 1742, and at one point, 45 glassworks were operating simultaneously. Today, there are still many workshops and studio huts, beautifully framed by the Småland nature.
