Västervik
In the heart of the archipelago town of Västervik, you can find places to swim all around. Just a stone’s throw from the center, there are bathing piers, and at Västervik Resort, you’ll find a shallow, child-friendly beach. Here, you can enjoy playing with a bucket and spade and building sandcastles. If you’d rather avoid sand between your toes, there are also some rocks where you can sunbathe and swim from.
Vätterstranden in Jönköping
With several kilometers of sandy beach and large grassy areas, the beach in the center of Jönköping is hard to beat. The water in Lake Vättern is clean and clear, and the sand is light and fine-grained. Beach volleyball courts, basketball courts, a playground, barbecue area, and restrooms are available.
