You can also see original costumes from the films, learn about how the films were made, what happened behind the camera, sing along to the film music, record your own film as you jump over the Hell’s Gap or get hoisted up the flagpole like Ida.
In the Adventure Forest next door, children can play in the beautiful pine forest, eat the blueberries growing there, or challenge yourself on the parkour track “Hell’s Gap.” In the Filmbyn store, you’ll find souvenirs connected to Astrid Lindgren’s children’s films, local crafts, and books by local authors.
Enjoy delicious food during your visit at restaurant SKOGEN, homemade meatballs, mashed potatoes, lingonberries, pressed cucumber, green peas, and cream sauce are served, a real Småland menu made from scratch. All food is lactose-free, and the meatball menu is gluten-free. There are also homemade soy meatballs for those who prefer vegetarian food. At the ice cream café Blåbärsskogen, you can choose from 20 different kinds of ice cream.
